Change format for the Phone number generator Pro only

Phone numbers in Fake Data are generated in the following format: ###-###-####, which means that the actual numbers can be "908-972-3048", "118-478-6060", etc.

If you want to change the default format, please follow these steps:

• Open Fake Data's options page
• Go to Generators -> Default Generators tab
• Find the phone generator, and click on the manage icon:
• On the newly opened popup, under Phone number format choose Use Custom
• Once you enable that setting, you will be able to type the format that you want
• Any # character will be replaced by a random digit. Any other symbol or character will be inserted as is
  • A few common examples that you might find helpful:
    • (###) ###-#### will generate "(705) 271-1562", "(167) 476-3841"
    • +1########## will generate "+14712996884", "+16163848051"
• When finished with the selection, press Done. Also make sure to save changes on the generators page.

TIP

Doing the steps described above, will change the setting for all fields that are using the generator you updated. You can also change this setting only for a single field, either through the Fields page, or by clicking on the "Manage Field" option from the context menu.
