Cloud Places: Generate real address and zip code combinations Ultra only

With Fake Data Ultra you can generate real combinations of addresses (country + state + city + address + zip) for several countries.

In order to start using these feature you will need to first enable it for each of the address generators:

• Open Fake Data's options page.
• Go to Generators -> Default Generators.
• Next to the address-specific generators open the dropdown from the right-side where it says "Default Behavior" and choose the Cloud Place option. Do this for the following generators:
  • address
  • city
  • country
  • state
  • zip
• Once finished, press the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Now everytime you fill a form and have an address input field, Fake Data will fill it with a real address.

Marking a dropdown element as Cloud Place field.

Many forms have dropdown selects instead of text inputs for choosing the country or the state of an address. In order for Fake Data's Cloud Places feature to work properly with these fields, you will have to indicate that a dropdown field is part of an address. You can quickly do this through these steps:

• Right-click on the dropdown element.
• Go to Fake Data submenu -> Manage Field
• In the newly opened page, under Fake Data Cloud Place choose This dropdown is address-related.
• After enabling this option, there will be a new dropdown where you can indicate whether this dropdown contains a list of countries, states, or cities.
• Once finished, press the green Save button.

Filling for different countries

• If you are filling a different country than U.S., you should know that the State dropdown will fill different things. See the table below:

After doing these steps for all address related dropdowns, Fake Data should correctly fill the real address and choose the correct values from the dropdowns.

Change the Country of the generated addresses

The Cloud Place feature of Fake Data supports the following countries at the moment:

• U.S.A.
• Belgium
• Netherlands
• France
• Brazil
• Romania
• Czech Republic

In time, more countries will be added. If you wish to prioritise one of them, feel free to send an email to [email protected]

By default, Fake Data generates addresses for U.S. If you want to change that and select either a different country, or use generate a random address from all supported countries, you can do so from the Settings page:

• Open Fake Data's options page.
• Go to Settings -> Cloud Settings
• Under Preferred country for Cloud Places setting choose your desired country.
• Make sure to press the Save button at the bottom of the page.
